Work Day in Tamina. (January 10, 2026) “Faith working through love” St Michael’s Youth, Waste Management, Children’s Books on Wheels, and Kolbe House gave the Sleepy Hollow community a facelift.

Giving Back on Thanksgiving 2025 | Feeding Houstonโs Homeless Community. Experience the joy of giving back as we at the Kolbe House work with others to provide hot meals and holiday cheer to Houstonโs homeless this Thanksgiving. A powerful reminder of the true meaning of the season.
On Tuesday, September 23, at the Kolbe House Chapel of Divine Mercy, the St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church chapter of the Knights of Columbus, represented by Larry Sanchez, presented a very generous donation check to support our efforts in reintegrating Catholics who have returned from prison back into society in a Catholic way. Thank you, God, and thank you Knights! (Larry is also a member of the Kolbe House Board of Directors.)

On Saturday, August 23, and Sunday, August 24, St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church on Sage Road in Houston teamed with the Kolbe House in a food drive for the homeless. The work crew (pictured with the truck) were, from left to right, Kevin, Oscar, Jonathan, Lowell (who was the St. Michaelโs Knights of Columbus point man for the project), and Bryan. The workers prayed together during down times between drop offs.
Knights of the Immaculata, a new podcast hosted by Bryan Theriot, began production yesterday, August 21, 2025, in the Kolbe House Chapel of Divine Mercy. The featured โknightโ was our own Deacon Dennis Hayes, President and CEO of the Kolbe House Texas. Watch for updates on postings, which should begin soon.

Homeless Distribution

This 14 -foot box truck was acquired from U-Haul on Friday, February 28, 2025. It will be used to move bins for our distribution to the homeless, supplies and equipment to and from Dismas Retreats, and bit coin machines between the BitMend repair shop at the Kolbe House and bit coin farms.






DJ and Crystal did an excellent job extending the back deck to the workout area and the storage units.
Also, the new room on the patio is coming along nicely – walls, windows and AC.

Making Room…
Work has begun to extend the common area of the Kolbe House in order to accommodate larger gatherings. Kolbe House volunteer Travis Wade and his crew are doing excellent work.

Kolbe House residents and volunteers distributed thousands of pounds of food and clothing to the homeless of downtown Houston. A true moment of grace for all of us.
Clean the Closet
The Kolbe House team collected more than 60 bins full of clothing for the homeless from St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in their Clean the Closet drive the weekends of November 16-17 and 23-24.
Volunteers Abel, Tom, Kevin, Michel and Jeff received donations from hundreds of parishioners before and after each of the weekend masses.

With the opening of the new computer lab, we hosted a bitcoin miner repair course to train our people to work in our on-site repair shop.
Kolbe House Distribution “Confirmed”
On November 2, 2024, Deacon Dennis Hayes brought together the Kolbe House team and the St. Michael the Archangel Confirmation class in a full day of “hands on” faith, beginning with a food and clothing distribution to the homeless, followed by ministry to the aging, and finishing with testimony and dialogue with the Kolbe House residents.
